When control becomes safety

If you control everything, this part is for you. Some of us never meant to become controlling —we just grew up where calm could turn to chaos in a breath. So we held on tightly, planned ahead, stayed alert because Control felt safer than trust. We called it responsibility, but underneath was fear —fear of what might happen if we ever stopped watching. And now, even when life is kind, it’s still hard to fully exhale. Maybe safety isn’t in control anymore but in letting life move while we stay steady inside. 🌿
