When a Question Becomes a Key
In coaching, the power of a question lies in the opening, not in the answer.
Like a keyhole, it doesn’t reveal the whole room,
it simply points to what could be unlocked.
A coach does not ask to test or to judge,
nor to lead the client toward a ready-made solution.
A coach asks because curiosity is the compass.
Through that curiosity,
a question can open a door the client didn’t know was there.
It can shine light on a corner of experience left unseen.
It can transform a fixed belief
into a possibility waiting to be lived.
A powerful question does not give answers,
it expands awareness.
Every question asked with presence carries respect.
It means the coach asks in a way that “does not disturb the client’s natural process of finding their own understanding.”
The question gives space instead of pressure.
It allows awareness to unfold in its own time and direction.
🌱 In coaching, questions are not obstacles.
They are keys!
keys that unlock awareness, choice, and change.
